Okay here is the situation. I am due in two weeks with my first child (a little girl.) I am very excited. Since the potential father and I aren't together and he isn't claiming her I decided I do not want him there for the delivery. Because of this he is now saying that he is going to take me to court to have her taken away from me. Can he do this? if so how long would the whole process take (begining with establishment of paternity?) Also, I am planning on moving to West Virginia (from Massachusetts) after the baby is born to be closer to my mom who will be helping me with the baby. Would him taking me to court interfere with this? It's not that I dont want him in her life it's just i don't want him in the delivery room and now he wants to take me to court. He is also saying that he has the law on his side. I mean he hasn't done anything for the baby. I asked him for financial help to get stuff for her and he said no. He's only gone to two of my doctors appt. I am really stressed out right now and I don't know what to do about the situation.... Read More »
